We live out the values of GRACE andMERCY through our dedication toprograms and ministries that promote forgiveness, reconciliation, transformation, and second chances. Our longstanding support of Jumpstart Prison Ministry is just one example of our church’s bold commitment to these values.

Second Helpings

Following Jesus’ example, we believe the values of GENEROSITY and SERVICE should be at the heart of who we are as Christ’s disciples — both individually and as a congregation. These values are evident in Second Spartanburg’s legacy of outreach, including founding and helping sustain the Spartanburg Soup Kitchen.

Second Look

Our church maintains an unwavering commitment to the values of CURIOSITY and DEVOTION. We seek the Spirit’s leading through Bible study, theological education, and a desire to live with open minds and open hearts. These values are evident in our baptismal vow to support, educate, and love each other across every season of life.

Second Family

Second Spartanburg is a “family of faith.” We seek to embody the values of COMMUNITY and PARTNERSHIP through love and fellowship with one another, neighbors, and strangers. We prioritize these values through church fellowship opportunities and collaboration with other faith communities, ministries, and nonprofits in Spartanburg.

At the center of this image is a cross, much like the cross that hangs front and center in our sanctuary. The cross is a reminder that our values, and in fact all our ministries and programs, should be centered on Christ's love for us and our calling to love one another.
